Photoshoot for Miss to Mrs Magazine!

The magazine shoot was held at the beautiful Mercure Leicester Grand Hotel for Miss to Mrs Magazine. The hotel has a beautiful Victorian ballroom which is accessed up a sweeping stairway, where the shoot was to take place. Katherine Benson the director of the magazine was there to oversee and motivate everyone involved: Nick Freeman Photography; Plaits and Pin Curls Mobile & Occasional Hair; Beauty/Makeup by Lu; Mrs Freeman Presents Wedding Accessories; Head dresses by Lily Beans Boutique; Dresses by Soar Valley Brides; Compact Mirrors by Audra The Studio and me, Sadie –Anne Events Design & Decoration, styling the photos.

The day was a whirl of activity prepping the models hair, makeup and styling areas to be photographed. The models were dressed in stunning wedding dresses and I supplied vintage furs and tiaras to help create the Great Gatsby meet Romeo & Juliet style. The room created an impressive backdrop for the models that were dwarfed by the size of the stunning fire places.

I really enjoyed styling the table using some of Mrs Freeman Presents beautiful wedding accessories, Audra the Studio’s lovely compact mirrors (which would make fantastic wedding favours) as well as using some of my own vintage accessories to help style the shoots, keeping the theme in mind. The table looked like a Midsummer night’s dream, with the delicate paper flowers (which Mrs Freeman Presents handmade), jewellery and beads, crockery and vintage bird cages to name but a few.

The day produced some wonderful photos taken by Nick Freeman and everyone was delighted with the final results. Can’t wait to see the final article in the Miss to Mrs Magazine, which is out this month.
