Bench Bombing at Nuneaton Station

On Saturday the 8th September Art Alert decided to cover the stations benches in fun ways to help bring a smile to travellers on their journeys. I decided to create a well-being bench with the help of students work from North Warwickshire College and the feedback was fab! One lady said that she just had to sit on it, she’d recently lost her mother and it had really cheered her up before her journey. Others had really enjoyed reading the well being messages on the heart tree.

The other benches were fabulous too and they all made for a fun day at the station.  In the Station Gallery, as part of the day, we also held an exhibition called ‘Seats of Inspiration’. This exhibition was themed around seats and was a range of 3D and 2D pieces. It was another successful show of talent from the group Art Alert……..onwards and upwards!
