My life has led me along a interesting path over the years but art and design have always been with me. I am an experienced, and fully qualified Designer and Teacher. My knowledge in both areas has been gained in Britain and abroad in Greece. I have worked in different areas of the textile industry ranging from Yarn and Fashion to Corporate design companies, through which I have gained diverse experience and knowledge. Teaching English during my travels in Greece helped me to learn the language and culture of the people which lead to teaching Art & Design in a College in Thessaloniki. In England my teaching skills developed further and I have designed, developed and managed Art & Design courses for more than 15+ years now along with workshops in schools, holiday clubs and craft workshops for adults.
I have experience of design in fashion, textiles, kitchens & Bathrooms, styling photography shoots, wedding planning, Interior styling and have had art work in galleries and exhibitions. However, developing my own artwork has now become a passion. My experiences, knowledge and inspiration from my travels and life have now led me to develop my own unique style of work, based on personal response. I love experimenting with silk screen printing, mixed media, paint, chalk paint felt, dyes and stitch to create vibrant textile art. Though my work can be representative, I also like to produce abstract pieces based on a theme or feeling. I work in the moment to produce work inspired by a range of things like nature, street art, to emotions.
